It was founded in Autumn 2009 on the initiative of Father Spyridon Kourtesi and the Cultural Association of Petritis. It was originally composed of about 30 Choirs and two sections: the Mixed Choir and the Women Polyphonic Section. From its foundation until March 2016, the conductor and composer Spyros Samoylis directed the choir, where 24 songs were recorded, which were released on 2 CDs, and are available to you. The Women's Polyphonic Department participated in the CD contained in the book of Konstantinos Kastrinos: "Music Folklore Tradition of the villages of Lefkimi". In its musical course, the Petriti Choir was renamed the "Musical Artistic Ensemble of Petriti" and consisted of Choirs, Musicians, Etc.

He has participated in many events inside and outside Corfu, such as the concert in Kalambaka in July 2015, as part of world music day. Every year he participates in the "Varkarola Petriti" and the religious and solemn events of the region. She was present twice at the "Panhellenic Poetry Games" in Lefkimi. The highlight of the musical course is her appearance at Rodotopi, Ioannina, in collaboration with the RhodesIan Ensemble on August 22, 2017. It is worth noting that, after her twinning with the Choir of Braganioti members of the Choir appeared together in April 2019 in beautiful and hospitable Kozani and in December 2019 in Thebes invited to the Union of Asia Minor Thebes as part of a revival of the custom "Varvara". Two other notable performances for the past year were: at the Center for Creative Employment of People with Disabilities (KDAP – MEA Corfu) and in the Christmas Fairy tale organized for the 1st time by the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands. As a Member of the Corfu Choir Association, she participated this year for the 4th consecutive year at the Festival.

From 2016 to the present day, the conductor is k. Irene Politis, graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, Professor of Music Theory, Piano, Violin and Mandolin Teacher.
