Petritis or Ancient Egrepus

Petritis is a beautiful seaside fishing village very close to Lefkimi and its port. Petritis was built in the 1970s by residents of the Koracada, who were forced to leave their village due to landslides. It is a modern village, with good traffic and many tourist infrastructure for quiet, family holidays. The beach of Petriti is small and narrow with shallow waters, suitable for young children.

The area in which the village of Petritis is built has a rich history. In Byzantine times it belonged to the ruler of the region Petritis or Petretino who gave it to the Palatianos family. From this family has been preserved in the village and a Byzantine tower.

Petritis is famous for its fish taverns, there you will find many taverns, restaurants and bars overlooking the picturesque port of the village. In Petriti there is one of the largest ports for fishing boats, as well as a small marina for the mooring of tourist boats. You will also find several rooms and hotels for your stay, mini market, butcher shop, bakery, hairdresser and other shopping malls.
