In January 1990, the Petrit Stadium was inaugurated, which was with gravel as most amateur stadiums at the time, such stadiums were typically called “Dry” stadiums or “Gravel” stadiums. From 2006 to 2011 the stadium of Petriti was deemed inappropriate due to the new regulation that prohibits the holding of matches, even an amateur championship, on such terrain. In September 2011, after the upgrade of the field, the stadium of Petriti was qualified as suitable.
The team of AO Asteras Petritis, which from 2006 to 2011 was hosted at the stadiums of Agios Mattheos and Perivolio, has now returned to its physical headquarters, Petritis. The first match that took place at the now renewed Petriti Stadium was for the institution of the Cup between AO Asteras Petritis and OFAM with a score 0-1.
